Dan Fitzgerald—Lead Guitar
Life began for me in mid-1964 when out of nowhere, 'god' appearred. Of course 'god' was the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show & from that point on, my life would never be the same. The lives of so many other young lads would also change forever. I will be brief....my very first band was a 'soul' band out of the L.A County area in 1967. Joe Rodriguez ,the lead guitar player told me to forget all I knew at that point & focus on James Brown, The Midniters, & oldies but goodies. His advice came in handy in later years. The last band prior to 'Remley' was a blues band,
Performing on ocassion in Reno & also at many Nor-Cal festivals opening up for such acts as Tommy Castro,Jackie Green & Mick Martin & of course clubs,clubs,clubs....
There have been a few other bands & projects in between but for me 'Remley' has been the most musically rewarding. I think our key ingredients are commitment, compassion & compromise. As for gear, you can have the biggest & best damn amp in the world, you can have all the effect pedals that money can buy, yeah, it sounds cool... 'but if you dont hit every note with heart & 'soul,'.........
