Richard Harris - Guitar

Richard Harris—Guitar

Let's see at the ripe age of 12 my father bought me a Fender Mustang and a Sears Silvertone amp and cab that I wish I had today. Two guys up the street one played drums and one played bass Ross & Jed (life long friends) we don't have enough of these people in our lives. We started a band called Cinnamon Lightbulb and played all through junior high and high school. At some point in high school I turned to cars and girls sold all the equipment and quit the music scene other than I still loved music and started installing high end car stereos at San Jose Auto Stereo. This kept me in the loop with music. Marriage took place with the love of my life Cindy and we started a family with the birth of Ryan and Taylor. I new that I needed to make more funds to raise a family and that started me down a career path that my father had followed in the insurance business. Fifteen years later, Mark Emerson walks into my office, one of the great guitar players that I had played with growing up and can he play today. He inspired me to get back into playing guitar again. That's when I found out, a friend Blaine Tillack played drums and suggested that we jam. Well that was about four or five years ago and today with many different members of Remley coming and going, we now have a very cohesive band that just loves to play live. We have our first CD release and have enough material for two more CD's. It's funny how things work out after all these years I meet three other guys Bud Beebe, Joey Baum and Dan Fitzgerald. I introduced Blaine to Bud, Joey and Dan and between the five of us it just seems at times music magic just happens. I keep thinking it will all stop at some point but there are so many years that I didn't play that the music inside me is just backed up and the flow has just started.

Some of my favorite guitar players Robben Ford, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Beck.
